Snuffles is going... 'home'.
Yea, i guess now is about the time to tell all the people who cares about me enough to check on my blog regularly that come 7 Oct 2006... ... I AM MOVING HOME!! As in like "Home". Like "TakkiLand". (I really want to say 'T&TLand' but somehow, it doesn't look right. XD) In case you are still blur and wondering...
I *am* talking about the country whose PM just became an Abe. XDDD
YES!! I am going to share about... ehh.. one-fifth of an address with my dear Takki!!!!!! LMAO!
Wheeee~~~~~~~~~ *flies around enbujo style*
Contrary to popular belief, no, i am not going there for a prolonged Takki-stalking trip (well, maybe a little). I am actually going for a very RL reason. I am going thereget married to Takki to work. Muahahah~~~ It's crazy how things turned out really. Some of you should remember how I used to whine and grumble about being overworked and underpaid in my previous company?? Yet erm... i am actually going back to work for them (but the HQ in Japan this time), even though i found another job which pays (i should say 'paid', cos i already quitted) me waaaaay better and has world-class employee welfare (Digress: Everyone should go work in an American MNC!!!). And yappari, whenever i get associated with my this ex and future employer, the word "kecchi" never fails to come up. =__= The pay is not high at all, and living in one of the world's most expensive cities, if not THE most expensive... i will be going into chou-binbo mode in another 2 weeks. T-T But somehow, i still managed to convince myself to give up the good-paying job and take up this Japan offer cos... it's in Japan!! LOL~ Ok, and i dun mean it just cos Takki is there. It's just something that I've been wanting to do. Kinda regret not going for a long-term exchange program when I was in university. Hence never got the chance to live (should i say survive?) alone. Then of course, I am hoping this job will give me good exposure and experience to *cough* demand for a better pay next time. Hahahah, see? VERY RL. Then of course, it IS Japan. I mean hello, there can't be a better way to justify my 4 years in school spent learning the language!! And i do want to eventually become native-level proficient. (so that the Japanese will STOP thinking that their language is really THAT difficult and unique.. TRY CHINESE!! Or Sanskrit!! LMAO~ But no offence.)
Anyway, it was a pretty hard decision to make. There was the giving up "current" well-paying job thingy, the parents' barrier (who are still not very onz about me going), the not-very-attractive pay package, the bimyou-sa of the job and responsibilities, the anxieties of living alone in a foreign land (with that teeny weeny bit of dough called PAY), the fear of being stopped by hentai ojisans, earthquakes, incomprehensible English, incomprehensible Japanese, freaking COLD winters, super FORMAL office-wear culture, lack of Chinese KTV (lol), onigiri day after day kinda diet, panties burglars etc.
IF... i had never quitted my ex-ex-job, i would be JUMPING at this offer to 'upgrade' to the HQ. Who wouldn't right??? But because i already left, AND found a better paying job (though the work was really MUNDANE), it was a tough decision. But despite so many so many SO MANY 'cons' factors, i finally asked myself ONE question. No, this question did not appear in ano recital. LOL~
Which job will I regret giving up?
And I made up my mind. I remember this tee i bought from Uniqlo when i was in Japan in 2004 for my very first T&T concert and Dreamboy Osaka cum self-organised graduation trip. Let me go find it...Japan Osaka and NOT go. I needed a closure of sorts as well. It was a loooong 3 week trip to mark the end of my life as a student too. And so, i bought the ticket and went. Yappari, itte yokatta. I woke up the next morning feeling GREAT and TOTALLY NO REGRETS. I was SO GLAD that i wasn't regretting NOT going. SO APT to wear the tee then. LOL~ I can go on and on and on about this Japan 2004 trip but I shall stop here. (By the way, i came home ABSOLUTELY broke and HOPELESSLY lovesick. XD)
Oh dear, my digression is getting too long. So what was i saying? Oh well.. anyway, as opposed to what many people think about me, i am not THAT obsessed with Japan and all things Japanese. I do dislike certain things about them. And i remembered telling myself before that i don't like to live in Japan, cos it's just sooooo crowded!!!! It gives me a headache. And much as i like Japanese food, 2 weeks of ramen and sticky rice later, give me my Hokkien mee!!
But life is short. What the heck. I am going to do it. Yatte mimasuKU!!!
So Shuduck, this is the reason why i've been MIA (blogpost-wise) because i've been busy preparing and packing (which, by the way, is getting nowhere... *coughs*).
To Dithers, thank you for your encouraging words!! *muack*
And thank you to Loracyn too, for accompanying me on my many shopping trips and giving me pragmatic advice. And offering to help bring some of my stuff over. Teehee~
Oh by the way! When i should be busy packing my stuff, i lost concentration (as usual) and went hunting for my new apartment in TakkiLand in Google Earth.
So yea, that's it for now. I better go back to packing.
不安ばっかけど、行きま~すっ!!

Please excuse my hair over there but the tee says...
"I don't regret a thing I've done. I only regret the things I didn't do."

I wonder if i got the place right. Anyway, it's one of the buildings in that cluster.
I just don't know which one... ... yet. ^^
But i think it is white.
So yea, that's it for now. I better go back to packing.

Michelle, "Itabashi" is the area that Snuffles will be staying in. Tokyo is a huge city yo. And "Daiso" is the name of a famous shop in Japan. Everything (well, abt 99% of the stuff) sold in the shop only costs 100yen. It's like SG's $1.99 or $2 shop.
Actually, there's also Daiso in SG. There is 1 outlet in IMM at Jurong East. There will be 2 more outlets opening by the end of this year. 1 outlet will be at Plaza Singapura and the other will be at Vivocity (at Harbourfront). ^_^

HAHHA i remember going to the 1 in Richmond, Canada and ONE DAY ONE DREAM was playing in the bg XD fell in love w/ the store ever since

Oh yes... Daiso (or other 100yen chains) is SO GOING TO BE MY LIFE SAVER in Tokyo!!! And it's a damn addictive store... i used to hang around the one at IMM Building (Singapore) for 4 straight hours by myself!!! Amazing eh?? (And bought lotsa useless stuff too. LOL~)
Anyway Michelle, still hoping to go to the 100yen ramen shop at Hachioji? Teehee...
