My hisashiburi Saturday out...

And so, we finally went for our loooooooongggg-awaited KARAOKE!!! XDDDD With Loracyn (who's like, FINALLY available) and Cheryl!!! YEAHHH!!!!! And we went a bit crazy. I was whining that I didn't have time to sing JJ's songs cos we only have 3 hours, and the Japanese and Mandarin songs were on different platforms, so needed to physically get up to press some switch, and of course, we were all growing roots to the sofa so none of us wanted to move. Plus, the Japanese song repertoire we had were already loong enough to cover the 3 hours. So.... we went to another place for solely Mandarin songs after that! Muahhahaha...... More economical actually cos the place that offered Japanese songs was more expensive, so didn't make sense to sing Mandarin songs there, since Mandarin karaoke is more widely available (thus cheaper). We then chanced upon a initially quite ayashii karaoke place in Chinatown while making phone calls to K-box and Party World to find out the rates for karaoke on a Saturday night, which we expected to be expensive. (Thou the $100 package at "The One" still shocked us. Esp when there's only THREE of us to split the bill.) So while every other of those karaoke chains quoted us about $70 for 3 hours, the one at Chinatown was only $48 for 4 hours!!! Ayashii or not, we crashed in. LMAOOO~~~~ And it was really okkk... Thou i kept saying it felt like only the owner's own family members were supporting his business (there were a couple of uncles and one auntie singing at the hall), we found out there was an "upstairs" and OTHER CUSTOMERS. So we weren't the only crazy ones venturing into this strange little karaoke place that made me feel like i'm in Malaysia. Hahhaha~ They only had a few private rooms but heck, we only needed one! Double checked with the staff and he assured me it's $48, all inclusive. Too good to be true!!!! Hahha.... Thou they didn't had some of the ultimate LATEST releases, we could live with it. Just that i was a liiiiiiittle disappointed that i couldn't sing JJ's 只对你说, especially since the song has been in my head the entire week!! x__x But oh well, still got to belt out other JJ and Jay Chou's songs. So overall it was good. Muahahha....

Loracyn and Cheryl, we must do this KARAOKE MARATHON again sometime!!!

So anyway, i said i must show you gals this clip where JJ sang some of the songs he wrote for other singers and how absolutely AWED i was (and so was the audience) when i watched it on tv last year. He did a similar piano segment in his concert too. *swoons* Kun, i totally agree with you. Guys who can play the piano and sing at the same time are REALLY attractive. (Which by the way, TAKKI DID THAT FOR NEGAI TOO IN HATACHI CONCERT!!!! Muahahhahaa~~~~~ Thou it was kinda weird cos he was half nekkid!! Very distracting. LOL~~) Anyway, kudos to youtube technology, if not i may never get to watch this again. Ahahaha....

So anyway, the songs he sang were...
1) 末日之恋 (written for 张智成) <-- Really LOVED his rendition.
2) 我们 (written for Energy)
3) 当你 (written for Cyndi Wang)
4) 爱笑的眼睛 (written for Vivian Hsu) <-- KYAAAH!!! material.

I am ESPECIALLY BLOWN AWAY by the last song he sang. This song is so hard to sing even for a girl and of course I know he lowered the key but STILL!!! He managed to hit the high notes so perfectly!!! OH MAN, HE NEEDS TO RELEASE AN ALBUM WITH ALL THE SONGS HE WROTE FOR OTHER SINGERS!!!!! So anyway, the event was Singapore Hits Award 2005, a yearly music award show based in Singapore. Now HIT THAT PLAY BUTTON!!!

Well, and I thought I better put this up soon too before something happens to Youtube. *touch wood* The song that has been on repeat mode in my head the entire week and yet i failed to sing it at karaoke cos it wasn't available!!!! BUT I REALLY LOVED THIS SONG A LOT. (The audio quality of the clip is kinda "hollow" though. Couldn't find a better one.)

Presenting... (Sa rang hae yo) 只对你说 by JJ Lin Junjie!!!! My 国宝. LOL~
(Song trivia: This song contains 3 languages. Mandarin, English and Korean. XD And hey, i just found out, he not only wrote the melody this time, he wrote the lyrics himself too!!! So talented. *gushes*)

Recently taken to calling him "Beefy-chan" cos he gained so much muscles for his 曹操 album!!! Trying to get used to seeing his cute dimpled face on such a muscular body. Saaaayyy.... doesn't this remind you pple of someone else??? See? I am CONSISTENT. MUAHAHHAHAH~~~~ Gawd, I need to get him to write a song for T&T. That will be puuuurrrFECT!!! XDDDD

Comments:
Yeah! The way he sit, concentrate, focused, and belting out lovely melodies..oohh...simply melts me...

I'm just very hynoptised by his voice.... ooooh~~~~ So talented. Muahahhahaha~~~

JJ LIN is a really talented singer. I specially liked watching that SARANGHAEYO vid. Nice melody. The first vid is a medley deshou? I liked the first song and the second one too. So he is into ballads then? Most of the music he plays are slow? He is then a balladeer. A piano balladeer ^^ And for him to write all the songs for other artists, he is brimming with talent for music.

Hmmm.... you are hypnotized by his voice alryt? How about all the 'beef' and dimple? cmon SNUFFLES-chan, you can break it to us ~~~~ (aw, you did hehehe)

You went KARAOKE last weekend???? no wonder it was typhoon signal no.2 in Manila!!!! :p :p :p Im afraid I can only mumble to TxT's song coz I dont know their lyrics by heart... only on some parts.

Hey Dithers-chan, YES he is definitely talented. But NO, he does not only do ballads. He does fast songs too, coupled with dance! Hehehe, will post up some recommendations when i have the chance. His latest album for example, the cover song is rock-ish. And it's about Cao Cao, that ano... Chinese general? strategist? conquerer?? ok, my Chinese history sucks. Actually, my ancient CHINA history sucks. HOHOHOHO~~~ (notice? LOL)

I just LOVE the richness of his voice, and how it seems so effortless for him to sing yet it still comes out sounding so deep. Hianzzz... some pple are just born with the talent ne.

And fine... if i have to rank what i like about him, then it's:

1. Talent/voice
2. Dimple
3. Beef... i mean body. LOL

Im not a vulture for 6-8 packs, but they're a bonus! XDDD

And yes, I WENT FOR KARAOKE!! SEVEN HOURS OF IT!!! (thou with a 1.5 hr break in between) And duhzzz, dun blame me for the typhoon!! *whackss* And silly, u dun need to REM lyrics for karaoke. JUST LEARN HOW TO READ! Hehhehhehe... opps. i mean Hohohohoho~

Yoz!! We must so go for another k-o-k marathon again!!!! Really had fun!!! ^_^V We can go to that Starship (i think?) place in Chinatown again! Cheep cheep!!!! *LMAO*

The Starship is really not bad!! But but, the JJ's songs that i wanted to sing, THEY DON'T HAVE!!! Aiyayayaaaa... dame dame!! So weird that they have one song from the album but not some of the others. We can go try "The One" in Orchard next time, since it's hard to make it for "K-Lunch". HOHOHOHOHO Summer! *heartssss*

Quick! Go memorise lyrics!!!

"The One" has Japanese songs? Hai! Hai! Starting to rem the lyrics from watching the PV and MF perf many times already! *HEARTZZZZZZ* ^^

'The One' has Japanese songs, but only old ones, kinda like K-box...

Mata ikou yo!!!
