Ramblings while i wait for my download to finish...

It is 1.50am. I should really be sleeping cos i am working tomorrow. But i wanna be here for my downloads. LOL~ Actually i am just paranoid of leaving my comp on overnight. What if it gets DC? But as if i can do anything about it if it does get DC.. cheh. I told my friend i am searching for Yoshitsune Epi 3 (the one where Takki first appeared) to complete my Yoshitsune collection before i burn them into DVDs. Cos the one i currently have, the audio track is terrible. It does not synchronise with the image and Takki's voice went soooo low and out of tune it reminds me of horror movies. And not to say how PERFECTLY APT the timing was. The audio was fine all the way UNTIL THE MOMENT SHANAOU (Takki) EMERGED FROM THE WATER. I wonder if anyone rems that scene. How uncanny is that????? I mean, the audio could have cracked at any part of the show but it chose the exact moment i was sooooo looking forward to. -__- So there I was grabbing my chair and squealing away and then the audio starts cracking up...

O_o!!!

Crrraaaapppp~~~ I HATE SNAZZI!!! Have i already not mentioned that???!?? *waves fist* So anyway, because of this lousy recording of Yoshi #3, i felt like my collection is incomplete. I don't want my first epi of Takki in Yoshitsune to be this lousy crap!! No way!!! NOT THIS EPI!!! But I need to burn this and the other epis out from my HDD soon (it's taking up gigs of space!!) cos i am gonna reformat my comp. So one of my friend was nice enough to help me get it from BT or something, since i cannot get BT to work on mine. And he is transferring the file to me now. And oh oh!!! IT'S DONE!!! Chotto let's take a look.......

Ooooooooooohhhhh, DAMN CLEAR!!!! I can finally SEE and HEAR Shanaou properly now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wakakkakakka~~~~ (and with Chinese subtitles, thou not necessary)

OH MAN!! THIS MAKES ME HATE SNAZZI EVEN MORE NOW. x_x I should get a DVD recorder. But then again... there's nothing left to record since Yoshitsune is over. Was doing the last synopsis for Yoshitsune yesterday and felt so sabishii when I finished. Very empty ne. Just like in the show. After Yoshitsune dies, the whole show just feels very empty. 没了灵魂人物,好空虚。Like even the streets sounded quieter. And then it ended with Shanaou in white running through the forest. Exactly the way he looked when he first appeared in Episode 3 from the water... ... Haahh~ Although it has been 2 months since Yoshitsune ended, I still wanna say. Takki/Yoshitsune has come a long way na~.

Taihen otsukare sama deshita!!!

Comments:
I bought a DVD recorder one year ago exactly for recording Yoshitsune every week! My VCR had died long ago.

As I remember, there wasn't really much to Shanao's emergence from the water as far as dialogue. The two senpai monks were teasing him, and that was essentially the end of the episode.

To my surprise, I'm continuing to record stuff every week, thanks to our local broadcasts. I am going to watch (but probably not keep) the new Taiga drama which started last night. I already recorded the full Gokusen (Kame & Jin version) which aired from October thru December here. And currently I'm getting "Haru to Natsu" which is being stretched out over 8 episodes instead of the original four because of CMs.

I'm anxious to find out what UTB will do for the next drama...I'm hoping for Nobuta wo Produce XD.

Hey Ariye, so does your DVD recorder has an internal HDD or u hafta use DVD-R/RW?? im so blur abt how these devices work. But are the recordings clear? im starting to wonder are the super clear Yoshitsune from BT recorded from NHK Hi-Vision channel and not the usual one.. cos its really.... DARN CLEAR.

i feel like getting a DVD recorder too (then again, like i said, nuttin left to tape) but if it can only record in DVD format, then its chotto komaru. Cos file size will be huge.. i rather it in a data format. Dun tell me i hafta render it everytime i wanna change it to data format... that will take soooo much time...

Your TV stat shows new shows?? *sigh* They used to do there here too, but not anymore. Now its kinda like 1001 Korean soppy dramas on every channel. -_- And an occasional not-new-but-not-too-old j-drama.

And, can someone tell me wat this Nobuta wo Produce is about?? The name doesnt make any sense to me...

I couldn't afford the kind with the internal HD, so I usually record to DVD+RW discs because those can be reused. I'm able to take that disc to my comp and burn a permanent (data) copy. This way I don't get burned if for some reason the program didn't show on schedule.

The recordings are only as good as your TV signal. And unfortunately, I can't justify the cost of digital cable either. So the picture isn't that great.

We have lots of Korean programming too. Japanese is just on the weekends now. Haru to Natsu has Tsubasa XD.

Hey Ariye, thanks for answering this techie idiot's questions! ^^

Well i guess if ur DVD recorder can record in data format, then it doesnt matter that it does not have internal memory isn't it? it could be better since what you recorded will be easily portable.

And yeah.. TV signals ne. The thing is even when i watch NHK on tv, it's not super clear. And the tone and brightness of the image is sometimes quite unstable.. Like the room will suddenly become brighter or darker... duhz.. -_- To think i hafta pay extra 1000 yen every month for NHK.. Say, now that Yoshitsune is over, mebe it is time i save myself some money...
Hmm...

DVD recorder or PSP.. LOL~
